4 cups granulated sugar 1 1/4 cups cornstarch 1 tsp cream of tartar 4 1/4 cups water 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 1/2 tbsp rosewater 1 cup sugar Vegetable oil
Preparation:
Combine the lemon juice, sugar and 1½ cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes and set aside.
Combine the cream of tartar, one cup of cornstarch and the remaining water over medium heat. Stir until it has a glue-like consistency.
Add the lemon juice and water, reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for an hour. Add rosewater.
Pour the mixture into a pan and let it cool overnight. Cut into cubes, coat with sugar and cornstarch and serve.
